Black has been a wardrobe essential for both men and women since forever. Its easy, sophisticated, flawless and powerful. Today, I chose an all-black outfit with just a burst of red on my lips.
If you do not want to end up looking like you are coming from a funeral (!!) make sure your outfit has a splash of colour. I have chose a bright vermillion on my lips and toes, and even though I did not wear them, you can go for a jeweled belt or sparkly shoes.
I put on this batwing sleeve cotton jersey blouse from Allen Solly and paired it with this body-sculpting pencil skirt from Marks&Spencer.
I added accents of gold to my outfit with this cuff in an antique finish from Globus.
This is one look that can be comfortably worn by women of various ages and body types. It is absolutely simple and you can wear it almost anywhere. It is very versatile and can be repeated frequently with different accessories. Black is slimming and perfecting so embrace it to its fullest! Experiment with different hairdos, jewellery and makeup to give this look a different twist every time. If you feel the look is too simple for you, try adding a vibrant scarf or a statement necklace to the outfit.
#TIP- Throw on a draped day blazer in beige or fuchsia (if you dare) and and substitute the red lips with beige. Then, wear retro style sunglasses and you've got a whole new look.
